Environmental Policy

Cotyledon CIC provides general business support to small enterprises, groups and charities who wish to develop new ideas, move into new markets or improve their performance in the current market they occupy. The Company operates through three themes: Inspire, Create and Improve and offers services such as:

Cotyledon accepts responsibility for any harmful effects its operations may have on both the local and global environment and is committed to reducing them. On that basis, Cotyledon CIC is committed to achieving and maintaining Green Dragon EMS Level 2.

The key points of its strategy to achieve this are to:

Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible;
Committing to a policy of actions in its operations to reduce, re-use and recycle as a preferred option;
Minimise toxic emissions through the selection and use of vehicles and the source of its power requirement;
Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers, associates and suppliers;
Measure its impact on the environment, record accurately and set targets for ongoing improvement.

Cotyledon CIC will comply with all relevant environmental legislation and keep a current and up-to-date register to comply with its Green Dragon EMS. This policy will be reviewed at least annually and will be made available for public scrutiny at all times from the office and externally on the website. The policy acts as Cotyledon CIC’s governing document for setting improvements within its improvement plan and monitoring systems.

Cotyledon CIC will implement personal development plans which include training to raise awerness of environmental issues and enlist staff and associate support in improving the Company’s performance. Cotyledon CIC will encourage the adoption of similar principles by associates and suppliers and will monitor as part of the supply chain on an annual basis or as new associates are introduced.
