Cotyledon has been working with Monmouthshire County Council Tourism Department since October conducting an audit of visitor signs in Monmouth, Abergavenny, Chepstow, Caldicot, Raglan, Usk, Caerwent and Magor. We have been able to invite locals and visitors alike to review the signs – things like town maps, information boards, brown and white signs, finger posts, town entry signs and a whole host of other visitor signs in each of the towns and villages. What we are finding is that quite often information is out of date, that signs point the wrong way, or provide contradictory information.
